Cameroon Trip Update
Updated Daily
This is the personal website of Larry and Patty Wilson serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators.
So, this January,
Lord willing, I will be going to Cameroon for one
month to assist with media projects in the
Mandara and
Mokolo language programs in
Cameroon's Far North province. Also, two Cameroonian men will be
trained to do audio recording work for language programs in this
region of the country. During the last week, I will be
helping Duane Troyer, a vernacular media specialist assigned to
Cameroon, with some projects in the capital city of Yaoundé.

The above information is updated daily
This trip is being rescheduled for
January 2010.
While many things were coming together for this
trip to take place this summer, there remained key elements
relating to logistics that caused Duane Troyer in Cameroon media
services and me (Larry) to reschedule this trip for January.
Together, we believe this is a prudent step that will lead to a
better end result.
It is important to understand that the trip is not
being cancelled but just delayed to the next available time
frame - contributions received for the trip will still be
applied to these projects.
During the summer I will continue preparing materials
for the training portion of the trip as well as getting ready
for the fall training session here at JAARS which will take
place from September through December.

On going Prayer Requests
To the glory and honor of God, please join us in
looking to Him for provision for the trip to Cameroon. Pray that if
it pleases him funds will be provided. And, even more importantly,
that His purposes for these people groups be accomplished to His
great glory. Pray and wait with us to see what God will do.
Psalm 37:23,24 ESV
"The steps of a man are established
by the LORD, when he delights in his way;
though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds
his hand."
Please continue to pray for additional partners in our work within the broader ministry of Wycliffe. We acknowledge that God alone is our provider. He is worthy of all praise, honor and glory in meeting our needs. Pray that he would glorify his name through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit - on whom we rely for our strength and resources.
Colossians 1:11-14, ESV
“May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

Introducing, William
Tyndale...
translator of a large portion of our English Bible
"Lord, open the King of England's eyes"-- many in the crowd heard William Tyndale's loud and earnest prayer just before the authorities strangled him and burned him to ashes. As the flames licked Tyndale's broken body it seemed his lifelong dream and dying prayer would die with him. But, as we will see, both were amazingly fulfilled only two years after he died.
William Tyndale was born near the Welsh border of England in 1494. Forty years earlier, two important events occurred in Europe which would have a great impact on Tyndale's life and work. More...
