In 1997, I traveled with the vernacular media team to the Northwest Province of Cameroon to help the Kom Language Development Committee produce an Easter cassette. Three choirs participated in the event: the CBC Belo Choir, the St. James Choir Njinikom and the CBC Wombong Choir.

The cassette contained narration from the Scriptures by male and female speakers. (each 0.4 MB) The choir songs were spread throughout the program to enhance the listening experience.

It was a privilage to work with each choir and listen to their music. Here are two samples of the choir songs randomly chosen to give you a feel for how the program sounded on cassette. Hear the two choir samples here.

In December of 2005, The Kom people celebrated the completion of the Kom New Testament!
