The type of media used in a language program depends in large part on the key factors within the language community. If the people are not particularly proud of their language, for example - a radio program could be produced to help raise the status of the language. If the people have not had much exposure to images and technology - video would distract from the message. So we do are best to make sure the media chosen is culturally appropriate.
